Karen prides herself on getting it right the first time. Meticulous and conscientious, she has been among the top 10 agents in her office many times and is currently a Platinum Club member. In addition to keeping up with the current real estate market and trends, she continues to enhance her education and career with ongoing training through CIR, CREB, seminars, and conferences. Real estate is a fluid market and staying on top of changes is important in the representation and protection of her clients.

Karen's hard work and persistence over the years has paid off—much of her business comes from satisfied clients who refer to her as their ‘best realtor ever’. Karen has been a member of organized real estate since 1999. Like many in the real estate industry, it was not her first career. Born in Cape Breton, her family moved to Bathurst, NB when she was five and she left at 18 and wandered west. Working a summer job in Calgary in 1988, the Olympic year, Karen found it to be a vibrant, welcoming city — no ‘Cow town’ here. A graduate of Olds College, prior to moving on to real estate, she ran a volunteer program with seven employees and more than 5,000 volunteers. But she has also held a number of weird and wacky jobs like mining camp cook, constructing residential mobile homes (electrical, finishing & cabinetry), and working on golf courses. The diversity of her background has been of great benefit as she takes an interest in the construction and maintenance of your home, and all those experiences have added to her depth of knowledge in her real estate career.
